Geo-Songwriter
George W. Daniels a.k.a. "Geo" is the founding member, primary songwriter and bassist for Sunny Weather Daze, a progressive alternative rock band which was originally formed in Bermuda as a two piece all original new wave rock duo (not a large following there) back in the eighties. After moving just north of Boston to the music “mecca” that is Littleton, MA in 1991 the band grew to eventually muster a five piece line-up with a catalog of fifty original songs.
Recently, Geo and vocalist J.T. Bennett have been joined by Mitch Kaplan(Masters in Music education, several recording projects and articles published) on saxophone to work on new compositions as well as updating previous material, bringing a new dimension to S.W.D. Hope you enjoy it... Peace out, Geo
Geo.
Greetings, My name is George W, Daniels a,k,a, "Geo" and I am the principle songwriter for the studio band Sunny Weather Daze. In it's hey day S.W.D. was a four piece combo gigging north of Boston featuring an all original playlist.
As a writer I have always sought to explore a wide variety of issues to not only entertain but raise a level of discussion with my compositions. U2 was really the first band to excite me about music and I immediately recognised the way they incorporated their beliefs and emotions into their music.
My recent entry into the world of professional songwriting has met with modest success and I look forward to building upon it.
Thank you for your time, Sincerely, Geo
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: I was born a poor black child on the island of Bermuda...
OK, so we weren't poor and Bermuda is paradise so please, don't feel sorry for me.
