UPDATE-2007

UPDATE: On May 31, 2007 Jake Castillo was in a motorcycle wreck in San Antonio, TX while leaving the funeral of a dear family member; his Uncle Jesse Castillo. After riding his 07' Sportster in the funeral procession in honor of his Uncle's love of Harley-Davidson's Jake was making his way home when he was struck by a full size truck driving on the WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD!!! Jake suffered a broken foot, a fractured leg and A SHATTERED WRIST on his right arm. Of course the thing that worried him most as a guitar player was the shattered wrist. In July 2007 Jake underwent surgery and had a metal plate fixed to his wrist which limited the mobility of his right hand. After much time and self imposed therapy Jake was and is able to play guitar, bass and piano again. Thank GOD!!! His love of music and the passion for playing and writing that burns within him would not let him quit. For all of you who have music burning in your soul; please be inspired to share your gift. These recordings: "Let It Roll", "The Price Of Love" and "Sanctuary" were recorded after Jake's wreck. He is playing as well as he ever did and now has new inspiration and respect for the fragility of life. Jake is very grateful to all the musicians who have influenced him over the years. Their music inspired and motivated him during his time in the hospital and while recuperating. GOD BLESS YOU ALL and please keep on jamming....and until the day that we can all jam together....and in the midst of trials and tribulations...Keep Your Head To The Sky....

Thanks to: Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Bob Dylan, Los Lonely Boys, Doyle Bramhall II, Roger Waters, Buddy Guy, The Late Great Stevie Ray Vaughn and so many more for the inspiring music that helped Jake and his family through this trying time . GOD BLESS YOU. Most of all thank The Living GOD for allowing Jake the opportunity to continue to live and write and play and sing. Peace
