Michael Amoriello

As a performing singer-songwriter, Michael Amoriello has been writing and performing his songs on the guitar and piano since he was a teen. He got serious about writing in 1985, and combines blues, jazz, folk, and pop elements in a unique musical style reminiscent of the folk-pop of Cat Stevens, Jim Croce and James Taylor. He has created a body of work that ranges from traditional folk songs to tender love ballads to alt-country and rocking blues. His lyrics are sometimes hopeful, sometimes philosophical, sometimes whimsical - but always passionate and powerful. Michael's songs have a maturity born of more than 25 years of helping people, telling their stories with sensitivity and humor, and his performances are a comfortable blend of songs and the stories that inspired them. A founding member of the Garden State Songwriters, Michael's mission is to write, perform, promote and encourage original music in the American folk tradition,
