“Narrative Biography of Steven A Wylie"
The following narrative will give you some idea of "who" I am and who I "hope to be".
In July of 2009 I will be celebrating the 17th anniversary of my 39th birthday. I play many different instruments and am considered to be a "Wordsmith".
My songs tell their story and offer solutions not problems - hope not despair - answers not meaningless questions - direction and purpose not aimlessness or superfluousness. The words paint "picture stories" in the minds' eye of the Listener and convey meaningful concepts and themes - not just a ramblin' on of words that rhyme.
My writing style includes anointed worship and praise songs along with some cross-over material that would play well in C&W markets, and some R&B and R&R styles as well. Some of my songs are serious, while others are cute and/or funny. Some are “epic” in length while others are under 3 minutes long.
Many of my songs have been performed in churches both here on Kauai (Hawaii) and on the "mainland" for P&W as well as for solo/special music performances and evangelistic outreach programs. They have been heard as far away as Europe, Thailand, South Africa and New Zealand. I have received “credit” for my assistance in several independently-produced CD’s.
I am also blessed to have received comments and reviews ( www.SurrenderedHeartMusic.com/comments.html ) from listeners from as far away as South Africa, Australia, Finland, London, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Canada, Thailand and many places on the mainland United States as well.
I hope that you will enjoy listening to my songs and pray that you will find not only a place for them in your search, but that you will find a place for Him in your heart as well.
In His Service,
Steven A Wylie

A: "Grow up" ??? Now ... THAT's Funny! Those who know me will tell you that I remain one of the biggest kids on the stage ... much to the chagrin of those who have not learned that "gro...
