Shell's Bio

I am a songwriter in the Maryland area who is currently writing songs for the Film and TV market. I had a song placed in a La Senza Ad and signed with two libraries. I sing in a Contemporary Christian band at Seneca Creek Church, and I am performing in the locally at farmers markets, nursing homes, benefit concerts and showcases. I write Pop, Adult Contemporary, Folk, Country and Contemporary Christian. My influences come from various types of music and artists. As a kid I was a big fan of Olivia Newton John, Juice Newton, Dolly Parton, Abba, The Bee Gees, Pat Benatar, Heart, Madonna, Irene Cara, The Eagles, Bad Company, Boston, Amy Grant, Michael and Janet Jackson, to name a few. I used to sing along to their records in my bedroom and dream I would be like them one day and now I am on my way!! I used to write songs and poems when I was young and continued writing here and there throughout my life. I performed in musical theatre in High school, and in college transitioned into a Biology career. I am a training developer by day and spend most of my nights writing, learning the keyboard, ukulele, performing and recording demos! I love it!! My music comes from the heart, sends a message, shows my quirky style and expresses life experiences in a unique way. Hope you like it! Stay tuned for updates!
