Tom Rousseau

Tom Rousseau’s been writing songs and making up rhythms since he was a toddler. Inspired by the music of Elvis, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Crowded House, Tom Petty, U2, and REM, Tom informed his parents that someday he was going to be a serious musician and songwriter. It wasn’t long after receiving his first electric guitar, that Tom and a few of his friends started a band. During his high school years, Tom wrote songs, played rhythm and bass guitar as well as provided lead and backup vocals. After cutting 2 CDs the band moved to Atlanta hoping to get signed. Although they were not successful at getting a recording contract, they did open for well known bands such as Meatloaf, Badfinger and Eddie Money. In addition, they played college gigs and small bars and music venues throughout the southeast region.

A couple of years later Tom returned to New England to marry his longtime girlfriend, They bought a home, got a dog and in 2004 welcomed their son Samuel. During this period, Tom started another band that played regularly throughout New England and seacoast areas.

Tom continues to write, perform and record songs and is convinced that someday if he refuses to give up, he’ll get the big break he has long been dreaming of.
