GREENSUGAR is a five piece Blues Rock N’ Roll band from Chicago, IL. First spawned in Los Angeles in 2003, the band began its modern incarnation in 2007 when singer/guitar player PARKER DODSON teamed up with childhood friend JON PATRICK LUBY in their hometown of Chicago to produce the organic, classic Rock N’ Roll inspired songs for the band’s 2007 release, GENESIS.

Following the release, the band played some 60+ shows as a trio over the next six months, until one evening during sound check at Chicago’s famed DOUBLE DOOR the guys heard guitar player MICHAEL STARCEVIC playing a masterful version of “Time” by Pink Floyd-- forever altering the history of the band. Fueled by the infusion of Starcevic’s thick, Southern style licks, the band went into the studio in the spring of 2008 with Producer/Engineer KENDALL STEPHENS (Buddy Guy) and put out the POWER SNAIL SESSIONS as an announcement to Chicago that gritty, bluesy, stomp Rock N Roll had returned to Chicago.

The band soon discovered drummer/percussionist ERICK FROSETH and bassist JASON ROLLINS. Together, a common bond was forged around a desire to restore Rock N’ Roll to its rightful position in the music world: the throne.

The band finished out 2008 in rehearsals and jam sessions blending their individual sounds and talents into one massive organic blend of Blues and Rock N’ Roll which most now know as GREENSUGAR.

The band’s newest effort is GORILLA FINGERS. Its electric live set has now been seen alongside such Rock N Roll Icons as WARREN HAYNES and GOV’T MULE, LES CLAYPOOL, and THE BLACK CROWES. Now currently on tour throughout the Midwest, GREENSUGAR hopes for the opportunity to change your mind…about everything.
