energize your "chi" with melodious, lush, and raw electronic rhythms. sometimes driving yet always soothing, the instrumental music of shh is great for dancing or to relax by. currently living in beijing, china, independent artist denis desjardins is the sentiment behind shh. released in 2000, his debut cd "dadrums" is still popular today in the belly dancing community in canada.

sometimes wise, sometimes humorous, denis is a man of few words. yet his instrumental music speaks volumes. it evokes grand images in the listener's mind. "i love the challenge of expressing a story or idea using only sounds. it's far more challenging than using lyrics." says denis. shh started in 1987 as an experiment for learning music while having fun. "over the years i've composed music in various genres including rock, blues, jazz, new age, reggae, african, middle eastern, asian, and of course electronic." denis flunked music at school. luckily for shh fans, he was inspired by the ground breaking sounds of the art of noise. other influences include the legendary herbie hancock, pet shop boys, and mike oldfield.

other than writing music for shh, denis has composed songs for video games, promotional and intructional videos, and an independent film. in addition, denis has received radio airplay and wrote several music software applications.
