Lee's Background
Lee Johnson is a singer, songwriter and guitarist in Boulder, Colorado, influenced by his roots in Country, Rock, Southern Rock, Blues, and Bluegrass, as well as other styles. Lee is currently focusing on songwriting with the goal of getting songs placed with other artists as well as film/TV. Lee has been a full time guitar instructor since 1995 and toured nationally with "Runaway Truck Ramp" 1998-2003. See Rolling Stone Mag Sept 1999 issue "150 bands that make up the soul of Saturday night." Lee has had opportunities to open up for and share stages with many great national acts such as Peter Rowan and Tony Rice, John Cowan of New Grass Revival, Leftover Salmon, String Cheese Incident, Yonder Mountain String band, Derek Trucks, and many other. Lee earned BA's in Environmental Sciences 1987-1991 and Music and Sound Technology 1993-1995. Lee's main focus currently is crafting great songs. He enjoys taking classes at NSAI, recieving pro critiques from NSAI, Taxi, SongU etc...and writing a ton of songs.
