Q: Where did you grow up?

A: I grew up in Kaneohe on the Island of Oahu with the Koolau Mountains in my backyard... Very Thankful for that...

Q: What made you realize that music was your path?

A: Music was in my life since i was a child. I took a lot of music lessons, piano, violin. Never liked to practice or read notes at all... I was told that in the middle of a few lessons numerous teachers would leave since i was so stubborn and played only by ear. I dont remember that happening... Used to play along with my favorite musics, mainly world music. Used to strum with them and do the leads with them... The next stage was me strumming my guitar or my ukulele, then picking up my upright bass and playing the bass line to the piece i strummed... Then went back and forth... Then finally went to a Recording Engineering school where i learned how to multitrack record... Never knew that it existed, and ever since then, about 8 years ago? i have been hooked on making music

Q: How would you describe the music that you typically create?

A: Lots of Rhythm, lots of harmonies, lots of toys and sounds going on... Each song has a deeper meaning than what is being said. Acoustic instruments only, and lots of strumming going on. Lots of influence from world music from different countries mainly in Africa and South America. Lots of Island influence and Reggae. The music has a message. Lots of story telling going on. Mellow sounding , yet powerful lyrics. Easy on the ears... Many have said the music is Timeless...

Q: Who are your biggest musical influences?

A: Enya - Gypsy Kings - Peruvian Music - Gabby Pahinui - Reggae music - Brazilian Drumming - One of the reviews mentioned Bob Marley. People say Simon & Garfunkel, Neal Young. Very FLATTERING if you ask me...

Q: What makes your music unique?

A: EVERYONE that makes music, a song, a painting, a sculpture, poetry,, or anything in art form is unique from the other as long as it is reflecting what is coming from within.

Q: Has there been one particular moment in your musical career that you're most proud of?

A: I am just very fortunate for music in all ways... Watching it live, playing it live, writing, listening ,, seeing movement to music. I am happy to have it in my life. It is major to me.

Q: What's next for you?

A: Right now? I need to get some sleep, cuz i have to wake up at 5 tomorrow for work. Thanks for this interview. It is always a pleasure to be able to talk about the thing that i love so much...
