Mike was nominated for “Male Vocalist of the Year"” at the 2008 Inspirational Country Music Awards in Nashville, TN. He won an award for his #1 song, "All About You". All of this following a spectacular start in 2007 which saw two #1 singles, two songwriting awards, major market radio airplay, and a performances at the Grand Ole Opry and the Whitehouse.

In 2006 Mike was nominated for “New Artist of the Year" at the ICM Awards. Mike’s song “Good News”, spent 14 weeks on the Powersource Top 20 nationally syndicated radio show hosted by Rich Miller.
